AVALANCHE (AUS)
Loud, proud, and born in the pubs of Sydney Australia, Avalanche are the husband-and-wife led hard rock powerhouse giving Aussie pub rock a bloody good kick up the backside. With amps cranked and beer in hand, hailing from humble beginnings rehearsing in a steel factory to touring ‘round the world, Avalanche are the new face of Aussie pub rock.
Led by Australia's hottest rock n’ roll power couple Steven & Veronica Campbell; met and married on the mean streets of Western Sydney, whose wild onstage chemistry has been described as ‘giving audiences a peek into their bedroom’... Together with air-tight rhythm section Blake Poulton & Ben Unwin – this is a band raised on their dad’s record collections – fearlessly carving out a new generation of Australian rock and attracting massive attention on a global scale.
Avalanche have just sent shockwaves through Europe and the UK, winning over audiences night after night while supporting Australian rock legends Airbourne, and launching their debut album 'Armed To The Teeth' to widespread acclaim.
What began as a support slot quickly turned into a breakout moment, with both album and tour earning rave reviews from major publications including Metal Hammer, Classic Rock, Rock Hard, and support from thousands of radio shows like Kerrang!, Planet Rock, Star FM, Rock Antenne, Triple M and many more. They've earned endorsements and partnerships with Marshall Amps, Natal Drums, Orange Bass Amps, Ernie Ball Strings & Enki cases, helping push the band further into the global stage as an emerging must-see act in their own right.
From the first note to the last, the band consistently surprised and electrified audiences, delivering performances that audiences rallied behind, turning first-time listeners into die-hard fans. Playing to almost 25,000 new fans has earned them a rapidly growing international fanbase now demanding their return. With undeniable momentum and serious hype building across the globe, Avalanche have firmly established themselves as one of the most exciting rising forces in modern rock and will return to Europe, The UK and more...
Until then, they have a massive tour of Australia followed by Rock The Boat where they’ll play alongside Rock royalty Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top), Matt Sorum (Guns N' Roses), Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple), Robin Zander (Cheap Trick), Phil X (Bon Jovi) & more, along with a return tour of Japan in the works.
Known as the hardest working hard rock band in Australia, and packed with the kind of raw energy that could shake the froth off your schooner; Avalanche have headlined tours and festivals across Australia, Japan (3 headline tours to date), Taiwan & New Caledonia, and shared stages with rock titans like Airbourne, Nashville Pussy, Rose Tattoo, Supersuckers, Buckcherry, Jesse Hughes (Eagles Of Death Metal) & more. They've won Australia’s largest live original band competition; Passport To Airlie, played almost 300 shows to date, and worked with Grammy nominated and ARIA award winning producer Steve James (Airbourne, The Screaming Jets, Cold Chisel).
Avalanche are Steven Campbell on lead vocals & bass, and Veronica ‘V’ Campbell on lead guitar. He's a mane of red hair on legs & a sheer force of nature - playing every note like it's his last - with vocals strong enough to strip paint off the walls. She's a tall, dark & aggressively powerful lead guitarist bound by neither space nor convention - always playing her blistering solos out in the crowd, on the bar, in the dunny's... wherever they may take her. Together with virtuoso level guitar legend Blake Poulton on Rhythm Guitar & rhythm machine Ben Unwin on drums, they are a force to behold.
Avalanche are waving the flag for Aussie Rock, maintaining a non-stop touring schedule and a signature sound & live show which routinely leaves the audience covered in blood, sweat & beers & Rock N’ Roll! And winning them new fans every time they play.
